| Since I stupidly left my apt keys in the apt, and locked the door, I couldn't go home till i got ahold of broder yesterday, so I spent most of my day at the Borders in Westwood killing time. That's when i found out Christopher Moore was to be there later in the evening. I went to school and got my Lamb book for a signing and had bought another chris moore book while at borders earlier (they give you a ticket for his talk and signing if you buy one of his books). There weren't too many people there an hour before he was to arrive, so i got a pretty good seat right in the middle of the room. During the Q&A, someone asked about Lamb...
"so, what inspired you to write this book?"
"God"
laughter ensues.
He's a pretty funny speaker, and the two books i've read so far--Fluke and Lamb--are quite hilarious as well. I had him sign my Lamb book with my name, so when he read the post it with my name on it, he looks up at me and says "Tawny, sounds like it should be an adjective." hehe, I got to explain to Mr. Moore what my name meant, to which he asked, "is that why they call certain ports Tawny ports?" =P yes. | | |
